Nomiku is a relatively new player in the sous vide market. Launching off the back of a Kickstarter campaign in 2012, their sous vide immersion circulator is manufactured locally in San Franscisco. Affordability, design and power are key drivers for this company. “No matter where you cook, Nomiku makes Michelin star-worthy meals possible”.
They have also managed to come up with a fairly unique offering with a Meals Program named Nomiku’s Sous Chef Meals Program. In the age of time-poor families, this is a helpful initiative. Here is how it works. You choose from a range of mix and match sous vide mains and sides, the food gets delivered to you and you store it until you are ready to eat it. Just tap your food in the relevant spot on the circulator and, voila in 30 minutes, your meal is ready. The ingredients for the meals contain no hormones or antibiotics, are free range and USDA certified.
There is a catch though. If you already own a WiFi Nomiku immersion circulator, you cannot use that with the Meals Program. You need to purchase a Nomiku Sous Chef immersion circulator. Obviously this will not be a problem for new customers but is a bit of a pain for those who already have the WiFi version. There is a silver lining though if you purchased a WiFi Nomiku within the 6 months of your Sous Chef Meals purchase – you can send it to Nomiku and they will retrofit your device to read RFID.
Nomiku offer a risk-free trial of their meal delivery program. If you don’t love how easy and delicious Nomiku Sous Chef Meals are, you can return the precision cooker within 60 days for a full refund. Check out their website for more details.
Nomiku also offer a Nomiku Sous Vide Chef immersion circulator which is purchased when you sign up for their Meal Program.
